Sarv, The Culture School offers ongoing programs for children and adults in music, art, and cultural education. Classes are held weekly or in session-based formats and are led by experienced instructors in a supportive, creative environment. Enrollment is open to participants of all skill levels, and class placement is based on age and experience where applicable.

Children’s Music Program
Inspired by the Orff Schulwerk Approach
Sarv School offers weekly 30-minute children’s music classes based on the internationally respected Orff Schulwerk approach. Through playful singing, movement, rhythmic games, and hands-on experience with instruments such as the xylophone, recorder, and piano, children are introduced to musical concepts in a joyful and supportive group setting that encourages teamwork and social connection.
Led by Mehrdad Teymoori, an experienced orchestra conductor and founder of children’s ensembles, the program helps students internalize rhythm, harmony, and melody, while strengthening coordination, breathing, focus, and confidence. The program culminates in an educational recital every six months, where children perform for their families.

Learning Through Play and Movement
Using instruments, singing, and carefully designed rhythmic activities, children naturally develop musical awareness, listening skills, and creative expression while learning to collaborate with others.
Building Confidence Through Performance
Biannual recitals introduce students to concert etiquette and stage presence, helping them experience the joy of performing as part of an ensemble.
A Foundation for Future Music Study
By the end of the Orff program, children are well prepared to choose a specialized instrument. With guidance from a teacher who understands their individual strengths, they take confident first steps toward more advanced music study.
